What does "Go Green" mean?

Picture
It means reducing your ecological footprint by changing consumption patterns along with appliances, equipment, and tools used such as cars, hot water heaters, refrigerators, and more!
There are varying levels of being "green" which range from recycling to designing a self-sufficient green home. Every little bit does count when you're talking about our planet Earth, but there are most definitely things that make a larger impact than others. A more recent and perhaps less known term is Sustainability which means....
Paraphrased from a United Nations Environmental Programme Document:

'... meeting the needs of people today without destroying the resources that will be needed ... by persons in the future; based on long range planning and the recognition of the finite nature of natural resources...'

Why Going Green is the way to go!

Green is everywhere now... on your coffee cup, in your electricity, and painted on the wall.  Even airline companies are testing the use of new environmentally friendly jet fuels. The movement toward a more sustainable and eco-friendly society is underway, and with good reason!

This list of "cases" will hopefully give you a brief but complete picture of the various reasons to "go green." After each section we have a link to more extensive information which includes numerous links and videos.  Enjoy this information and the process of applying it to your daily life.  Feel free to contact us with any questions, additions, comments, or concerns.
